Microsoft Access Database Testing and Analysis

There may be problem areas in your Access Database affecting the speed, reliability and data integrity of the overall system. The fact is that data tables, forms, reports and code modules within many Access databases are already corrupt and lie in wait for an inopportune moment. While no amount of testing can guarantee faultless performance of your computer, database and software systems, it pays to be diligent. I strongly recommend that you take advantage of this important offer today.

What is tested

Programmatic Testing: Your database will be inspected programmatically for issues that may affect the speed, reliability, data integrity and the potential for corruption of both the data and the program itself. Programmatic testing is thorough in that it checks every object in your database. Seventeen critical attributes of the database are included in this portion of the evaluation.

Manual Testing: The manual check involves a run-through of your database that is both objective and subjective. Because many databases contain hundreds, if not thousands, of tables, forms, queries, code modules and reports, I may not be able to manually test and evaluate every object. I will, however, go through the significant areas of your application.

Testing and evaluation includes but is not limited to:

  • Design Flaws in Program Design and Structure
  • Table structure
  • Normalization
  • Referential Integrity
  • Table Relationships
  • Quality of VBA Coding
  • VBA Code Compilation
  • Database, Table, Form, Query, Report Properties

What you’ll receive

You will receive a comprehensive, objective report that does not “finger point”.  The analysis is well written and descriptive. It can be handed directly to any Access programmer for implementation. The suggestions made in the report are both actionable and specific. Most reports are five or more pages in length. The report also includes a significant number of links to resources for further information regarding the issues at hand, including the recommended methods of fixing said problems.

Pricing

For a limited time, for the great majority of databases, the cost is $179.00. If for any reason there are additional fees, (which is unlikely,) I will contact you, explain the reason for the additional cost and proceed only with your approval.

Getting Started

Call (310) 714-9669 or send me an email. Feel free to attach the database to your email and/or to raise any concerns you may have. If the database is too big to email I will provide you with instructions as to how to transfer the database to me over the Internet.
